Qualifications

  • PhD in electrical engineering, computer science or related discipline and expertise in the power system operation and control.
  • Expertise in distributed optimization, data analytics and machine learning for the power system and solar monitoring applications.
  • Electric distribution system analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on solar-rich power systems.
  • Attend conferences and read literature to stay updated on advances.
  • Identify and assist with funding from public, private, and governmental sources.
  • Search scientific literature to select and adapt methods for research goals.
  • Perform laboratory and field experiments according to protocol.
  • Prepare results for presentation to colleagues and the sponsor at conferences.
  • Collaborate with graduate/undergraduate students, faculty, and industry partners to advance project progress and publications.
