Colorado State University’s One Health Institute invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow based in Fort Collins, CO. The role focuses on field and laboratory work for bat health investigations, with international travel to Ghana, Nigeria, and possibly other countries, under CHIRO and other One Health initiatives.

You’ll contribute to study design, data analysis, grant development, publications, and stakeholder engagement.

Formación

• Understanding of One Health principles.
• Ability to travel internationally to conduct field and laboratory work.
• Experience capturing and collecting biological samples from bats.
• Laboratory molecular experiences including PCR and sequencing (amplicon, genome, metagenomics).
• Experience analyzing and interpreting scientific data.

Responsabilidades

• Country liaison for international bat field surveillance activities.
• Perform bat field captures and collection of biological specimens.
• Train partner laboratories and perform laboratory-based molecular analyses of bat samples.
• Participate in CHIRO activities, manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
• Mentor graduate students and contribute to teaching One Health courses.
