Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, Inc. invites a highly motivated fellow to advance polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography (PSOCT) for mapping 3D neuronal architecture and connectivity in the developing cerebellum.

Formación

• Ph.D. in optics, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or related field.
• Strong research background in biomedical optics, microscopy, or optical engineering.
• Ability to work independently and pursue an independent research trajectory.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with publications and conference records.
• Experience with optical design, simulation, 3D CAD, and programming for control, DAQ, and real-time data processing.
• Experience with polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography is a strong plus.
• Strong computational skills (signal processing, optimization, ML) are a plus.
• Neuroimaging research experience preferred but not required.
• Appointment is for two years with potential continuation.

Responsabilidades

• Optical system design, test, and characterization.
• Volumetric microscopy data processing, physical model-based data analysis, and data interpretation.
• Experimental design; collaborate with technicians to collect and analyze data.
• Present progress to collaborators and conferences; publish the work; support future grant applications.
• Collaborate with other researchers and clinical staff to advance project goals.
