University of Cincinnati is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Surgery, Division of Vascular Surgery. The role focuses on oxidative stress and endogenous antioxidant production under structured exercise regimens in ischemic muscle, working with experienced faculty in a leading academic center.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in cell biology, exercise physiology, molecular biology, biomedical engineering, or similar field.
• Experience in cell biology, exercise physiology, molecular biology, and/or biomedical engineering.
• Experience with specialized software programs, including statistical analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research experiments within the predetermined research scope and methodology.
• Gather and analyze data and develop new ideas that promote current research.
• Assist and perform large animal operations; collect samples and analyze study endpoints.
• Assist in human muscle biopsies and human data collection.
• Prepare data summaries, reports, manuscripts, and presentations of research results.
• Participate in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations; may assist in grant writing.
