Responsibilities

The postdoctoral fellow will embark on a comprehensive research initiative aimed at exploring the relationships between sleep disorders and health outcomes. This project will leverage a rich dataset that includes both clinical and sleep-related information, providing a robust foundation for analysis. The primary focus will be to investigate how sleep disorders impact clinical comorbidities and to uncover potential patterns and mechanisms through which sleep disorders contribute to or exacerbate other health issues.

  • Design and execute scientific experiments.
  • Present data regularly in lab meetings, seminars, and national/international conferences.
  • Provide data for grant submissions and progress reports to NIH and foundations.
  • Analyze and interpret research results and scientific literature in connection with writing or editing high‑quality grant fellowship applications, manuscripts, etc.
  • Assist other researchers in translating data results into manuscript format and guiding them toward publication.
Qualifications
  • PhD degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of sleep medicine.
Experience
  • Experience in sleep research.
  • Experience in clinical studies.
  • Experience in data cleansing, statistical analysis, manuscript writing.
Goals/Outcomes

The goal of this research is to deepen our understanding of how sleep disorders interact with various clinical comorbidities, including cardiovascular disorders, mortality, dementia, and others. Outcomes will include dissemination of findings to the scientific community, potentially paving the way for novel approaches to disease intervention and therapy.

Compensation

Salary range: $72,500 - $80,000 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and operational need. This range does not include bonuses, differential pay, or other forms of compensation.
