Postdoctoral Associate role open to study Multiomics of HIV-1 latency and cure.
Postdoctoral/Senior Scientist position is available to investigate the molecular mechanisms of HIV-1 persistence, HIV reservoir, and cure strategies using advanced humanized mouse models of infection. We employ molecular virology, genetic lineage tracing methods, single-cell multi-omics, and confocal imaging approaches to understand how HIV-1 spreads and persists in tissue sites during antiretroviral treatment. The research tests new paradigms for understanding HIV-1 dissemination, persistence, and the nature of the HIV-1 reservoir.
The appointment will be at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, and in the Immunology Institute. Candidates with backgrounds in virology, humanized xenograft models, computational genomics, intravital imaging, and cellular immunology are particularly encouraged to apply.
Requirements include a strong record of publication and a PhD and/or MD. Interested candidates should send a CV and three references to:
