Job summary

The Office of Intramural Training & Education at NICHD (Bethesda, MD) invites applications for a post‑doctoral scientist to develop and implement molecular, biochemical, and multi‑omic approaches to study how cellular stress affects development and human disease.

Candidates should have a PhD/MD-PhD in life sciences, strong cellular biology background, and experience with iPSC-derived cells/organoids, transcriptomics, and data analysis; excellent communication and independence are required.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cellular biology and previous experience with performing experiments to evaluate the integrated stress response pathway and analyzing multi-omic data sets are highly desirable.
  • Experience with induced pluripotent stem cells, iPSC-derived cells or organoids, and transcriptomic technology are also beneficial.
  • Prior training in or commitment to pursuing translational research is desired.
  • A cover letter with a description of research experience and interests

  • Competence in planning and multitasking, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Both written and oral communication are required, as is the ability to work independently and in collaboration.
