Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to lead a translational research project examining how microplastics influence inflammatory bowel disease. Under supervision of a Principal Investigator, you will use primary cell culture, human biospecimens, and murine models to uncover environmental triggers of autoinflammatory disease.

Ideal candidates have a PhD or MD/PhD, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset; the program lasts up to 5 years with NIH NRSA salary scale

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in relevant field required.
• Strong research experience and scientific writing.
• English proficiency; visa considerations as specified.

Responsibilities

• Independent project design with the goal of data generation, analysis, interpretation and manuscript preparation.
• Lead a research project on microplastics & IBD.
• Develop & maintain strong collaborations.
• Provide written & oral communication of research findings.
• Assist in mentoring & training of junior lab members.
