Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System in New York seeks a postdoctoral researcher in Medicine/Nephrology to study TENM3's role in diabetic kidney disease using in vitro and in vivo models. Qualifications

• Postdoc should have medical training (MD equivalent) or basic science training.
• Familiarity with kidney disease pathogenesis (Nephrology training) is preferred.
• Candidates should have basic bench work and experience with animal studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform in vitro cultures of glomerular cells and assess TENM3 effects on function.
• Generate TENM3 mutants to study variant effects; perform qPCR and Western blot analyses.
• Develop transgenic mouse models with TENM3 modulation in podocytes and evaluate kidney injury.
• Techniques include cell culture, western blot, qPCR, genotyping of mice, histology, and urine/renal function assays.
