Position Title Postdoctoral fellow in statistical genomics

Duties and Responsibilities

The postdoctoral fellow will work directly with Dr. Song to develop statistical and computational methods for spatial omics data. Specific projects will be defined jointly based on the fellow's expertise, research interests, and career goals.

• Developing statistical models, machine-learning methods, and computational tools for analyzing spatial transcriptomics and multi-omics data.
• Preparing manuscripts and presenting research at departmental seminars and national and international scientific conferences.
• Generating preliminary results and contributing to grant proposal writing.
• Participating in weekly lab meetings and assisting in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.

Position Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong quantitative and computational skills, with research experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, or computational method development.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in analyzing genomic, single-cell, or spatial omics data.

Salary Range $63,480+ per year
