Scripps Research Translational Institute in La Jolla, CA, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in Immunology and Microbiology. The candidate will work under a Scripps Research faculty member to develop scholarly competence and contribute to translational science projects.

Requirements include a PhD in microbiology-related field, strong publication record, and excellent English communication. The role is on-site with comprehensive benefits and a salary range aligned to NIH/CA

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biological sciences required, preferably in neuroinflammation or innate immunity.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated productivity with a strong publication record in high-quality journals.
• Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment.
• Background in signaling pathways is a plus.
• Strong background in cellular/molecular biology techniques, including cell/tissue culture, isolation and manipulation of primary cells (neuronal and microglial culture systems a plus) and microscopy.
