Qualifications

  • PhD in Agricultural or Civil Engineering, Soil Science, or hydrology-related fields.
  • Experience in statistical analysis, publishing peer‑reviewed articles, and conducting chemical analyses of water and soil samples in a lab.
  • Basic knowledge in hydrological modeling (SWAT, APEX, HYDRUS) and nutrient management is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate effectiveness of agricultural BMPs (e.g., biochar) to improve soil health, water quality, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Use hydrological models to simulate fate and transport of contaminants.
  • Mentor graduate students.
  • Develop research proposals and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Present research results at conferences.
