UNSW is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to the development of novel electrocatalysts and ion-exchange membranes for electrolyzers and fuel cells, synthesising and prototyping devices and assessing efficiency and durability under schedule constraints.

The role reports to senior researchers in the School of Chemistry with a fixed-term 12-month appointment; located in Sydney, Australia, full-time 35 hours per week.

Formación

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science.
• Experience in electrocatalysis or ion-exchange membranes.
• Experience with material synthesis and device assembly.
• Materials characterisation; DFT knowledge preferred.
• Experience coordinating large multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to complete projects on time and report results.
• Strong publication record and conference presentations.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute independently or as a team in collaborative research to enhance outcomes.
• Prepare manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals.
• Undertake research projects under guidance of a leader.
• Disseminate research outcomes through appropriate channels.
• Maintain experimental materials, equipment and data; prototype electrochemical devices.
• Apply for external grants with supervisor support.
• Assist with student supervision and lab management.
