Rutgers University‑Newark seeks an entry‑level Post‑Doctoral Associate in Biological Sciences. The lab uses Drosophila melanogaster to study signaling pathways and intracellular transport. The successful candidate will work independently, mentor a lab technician, and help train undergraduates while collaborating with the PI.

You will draft manuscripts, present at conferences, and contribute to grant proposals. Strong lab notebook maintenance and data presentation are expected.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in life sciences with experience in genetic model organisms, molecular and cell biology.
• Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently and mentor undergraduates.

Responsabilités

• Perform advanced neurobiology, genetic and cell biology experiments.
• Maintain a detailed lab notebook and supervise undergraduate researchers.
• Draft manuscripts and figures for peer‑reviewed journals.
• Present findings at national conferences and assist with fellowship proposals.
