Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics, molecular biology, chemistry, physics, materials science, computational biology, or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Experience with cryo-EM is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on semiconductor nanocrystal–enzyme complexes and nanoscale optoelectronic materials.
• Design and perform cryo-EM experiments, including sample preparation, imaging, and single-particle analysis.
• Investigate structure–property relationships related to electron transfer, catalysis, and photocatalytic function.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data to guide research direction and project goals.
• Prepare research reports, manuscripts, proposals, presentations, and related scientific communications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams and mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers.
• Develop innovative methods for studying nanocrystal–enzyme systems.
