Company Overview

The people of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) are united by a singular mission: ending cancer for life. Our specialized care teams provide personalized, compassionate, expert care to patients of all ages. Informed by basic research at our Sloan Kettering Institute, scientists across MSK collaborate on innovative translational and clinical research that is revolutionizing our understanding of cancer, improving prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. MSK is dedicated to training the next generation of scientists and clinicians, who pursue our mission at MSK and globally.

Job Description

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow interested in developing new statistical and computational methods in cancer research. Our group works closely with physicians and biologists to study antitumor immune responses using rich, cutting-edge omics datasets, including single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), spatial transcriptomics (ST), and hyperplex immunofluorescence (hIF), derived from tissue samples of cancer patients treated with radiotherapy.

Role Overview:
  • Lead the development of novel statistical and computational approaches in collaboration with oncology experts to drive scientific discoveries through real-world data applications.
Key Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field, preferably with experience in omics data analysis, imaging data analysis, and modern computational platforms (e.g., PyTorch, Pyro).
  • Strong background in statistics with experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficient in at least one statistical programming language (e.g., Python, R).
  • Experience with Unix/Linux systems and basic shell scripting.
Application Instructions:
  • Send a cover letter, CV, and the names of 3 references to Dr. Xinjun Wang at wangx11@mskcc.org.
  • Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis; deadline: June 20, 2025.
