Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI) in Nutley, NJ.

This role focuses on antiviral drug discovery, including work with BSL2/3 viruses, under the supervision of Nadine Alvarez, PhD, Supervisor Research Assistant Member Infectious Diseases. The successful candidate will design and execute in vitro assays, handle relevant pathogens, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams while producing high-quality

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a scientific or related discipline.
• First-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal or in preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and execute in vitro experiments independently and collaboratively to support the project's primary objectives.
• Perform low- to high-throughput screening of compounds using established experimental protocols.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data using appropriate statistical methods.
• Prepare and present technical reports, and maintain accurate, up-to-date project documentation and master files.
