Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a Scientist I to advance computational drug discovery for infectious diseases within the Integrated Pathogen Therapeutics Department at WRAIR.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a computational or biomedical discipline.
• 2–5 years of post-PhD research experience is preferred.
• Experience applying computational methods to small-molecule drug discovery.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute structure-based drug-discovery workflows.
• Apply physics-based and ML methods to target characterization and hit prioritization.
• Perform structural modeling of proteins and complexes to identify binding sites.
• Conduct computational screening to support lead optimization.
• Collaborate with bench scientists to validate predictions.
