Job summary

Slingshot AI in New York City is recruiting a Postdoctoral Clinical Research Scientist to build the evidence base for AI‑delivered mental health care. You will design and run studies to show safety, efficacy, and areas for improvement, then publish what you learn.

This fixed‑term role (1–2 years) is hybrid in New York City, with potential to convert. If pursuing licensure in New York, we will support you along the way. Collaborative across product, engineering, ML, and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in Clinical Psychology or related field required.
• Demonstrated ability to design and execute clinical research studies.
• Strong publication record in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Experience with digital health, telehealth, or AI/ML in clinical care is a plus.
• Strong communicator able to translate findings for non‑clinical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, run, and analyze clinical studies on AI‑based mental health tools (RCTs, observational, HEOR).
• Develop novel evaluation methods for safety and quality of AI in care.
• Lead manuscript preparation for peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, legal, and policy teams to ensure rigor and impact.
• Translate findings into sharper outcomes measurement and next steps.
