Job summary

The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation & Technology invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate. Under the PI’s supervision, you will synthesize and design molecules for biological use, review literature to optimize protocols, and validate results with NMR, HPLC, and LCMS.

The candidate will present research findings at lab meetings, progress reports, conferences, and assist in drafting publications and grant proposals.

Qualifications

• An organic or Medicinal chemistry degree is required.
• Experience with literature review and data analysis.
• Ability to work in a research group and teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Chemdraw, and PyMOL.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize and design molecules for biological studies.
• Review literature to optimize protocols and validate results with lab instruments (NMR, HPLC, LCMS).
• Present research findings at lab meetings, project team meetings, progress reports, conferences, seminars, and assist in drafting publications and grant proposals.
• Collaborate with project teams to troubleshoot research problems.
