Description

Candidate will be responsible for:

  • developing theoretical models of affordance-centric RL agents and use them to model the animal tasks developed as part of the collaboration
  • timely delivery of scientific results and products including writing up results to be submitted to relevant scientific conferences or journals, as agreed with the PI
  • follow best practices of the SCENE consortium with respect to development and sharing of code and other scientific deliverables
  • weekly attendance to the Simons collaboration theory team meetings
  • regular interaction with the relevant experiments in the collaboration
  • participation in the annual Simons collaboration review meeting
  • attendingSavinlab group activities like group meetings, journal club, relevant special interests group meetings

This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $70,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
