Job summary

The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard is seeking a postdoctoral associate to join the Claussnitzer lab’s Variant-to-Function (V2F) team in Boston. You will investigate how genetic variants influence gene regulatory networks and metabolic disease mechanisms using cutting-edge genome engineering, CRISPR-based screens, single-cell sequencing, and high-content imaging in adipocytes, hepatocytes, and myocytes.

Qualifications

• PhD in molecular biology, cellular biology, or related discipline.
• 0+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Experience in mammalian cell culture and cellular metabolism.
• Experience with imaging-based approaches, genome editing, screens, and single-cell sequencing is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional genomics techniques and high-throughput screening strategies.
• Plan and execute independent projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Document, compile, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
• Attend meetings, present progress, and contribute to papers and proposals.
• Mentor other lab members and contribute to a collaborative lab culture.
