The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine is dedicated to training future veterinarians, providing services to animal owners and veterinarians, and conducting investigations to improve the health of animals as well as people.
This position is grant funded. Continuation of employment, while probable, is not guaranteed.
This post-doctoral position will work in the Joyner lab to understand genotype-phenotype relationships of the relapsing malaria parasites, Plasmodium cynomolgi and Plasmodium vivax. The individual is expected to oversee the day-to-day management of projects, assist in analysis and interpretation of study data, preparation of grants and associated reports, and lastly, manuscripts for publication. The individual will also have an active role in training and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in the laboratory.
