Cyte – Cytopathology Research Lab , led by Dr. Priscila Serpa, is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to conduct cutting-edge bioinformatics research in genomics, whole-genome and exome sequencing, single‑cell RNA, miRNomics, spatial transcriptomics, and mass spectrometry data. The successful candidate will work on two funded projects to identify novel biomarkers and techniques for diagnosing cancer in animals. The candidate should be able to work independently, be highly enthusiastic about conducting cancer research, and ideally be committed to pursuing a career in the field. In addition to research (95%), applicants will be encouraged to participate in career development activities (5%) both within and outside the university. The candidate will collaborate with pathologists to validate findings and contribute to high‑impact publications.

Postdoctoral Associates receive competitive salaries according to the Cornell University Postdoctoral Associate stipend system. Start date is negotiable; the position has a duration of one‑year with options for renewal based on performance, productivity, and funding. Position expected start date in Spring 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience with cloud computing and high‑performance clusters (HPC).
  • Experience with machine learning and network biology.
  • Background in cancer research.
Pay Range

$62,232.00 - $81,000.00
