Qualifications

  • PhD in a related field with biomolecular simulation and scripting (Bash, Python).
  • Experience with molecular modelling and enhanced sampling.
  • Familiarity with HPC, including GPU-based computing, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply advanced simulation techniques to study lipids in biomembranes.
  • Collaborate with experimental and computational researchers to advance understanding of biophysical mechanisms.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated PostdoctoralAssociate to join the Monje Group in computationalresearch within the Departmentof Chemical and Biological Engineering. This positionoffers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edgeresearch at the intersection of physics, biology, and computation.The successful candidate will engage in theoretical andcomputational research aimed at understanding the role of lipids inbiomolecular mechanisms and material properties.

Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the postdoctoralresearcher will develop and apply advanced simulation techniques,and data-driven approaches to explore complex biophysical phenomenaat the cell membrane. This role provides a platform for scientificgrowth, collaboration with experimental and computationalresearchers, and contribution to high-impact discoveries instructural biology, lipid-protein dynamics, lipid membranebiophysics, and related areas.

Minimum Qualifications
  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biophysics, ora related discipline with experience in biomolecular simulation techniques, and programming/scripting (Bash,Python)
Preferred Qualifications
  • The candidate should have demonstrated experience in molecularmodelling, particularly in the areas of biophysics or materialdesign (all atom / coarse- grained approaches)
  • Experience with enhanced sampling techniques; computationalbiophysics/chemistry
  • Usage of high-performance computing clusters, preferablyGPU-based computing
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and hypothesis testing
  • Strong publication record
