Job summary

The Pawlica Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with a strong interest in RNA biology, molecular virology, and host–virus interactions.

Applicants will explore viral noncoding RNAs, regulatory RNA elements, and host factors using RNA biochemistry, CLIP/eCLIP, RNA‑seq, and related methods, with opportunities to contribute to high-impact manuscripts and collaborate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Strong background in RNA biology, molecular biology, or virology; publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Experience with RNA biochemistry, mammalian cell culture, high‑throughput sequencing, CLIP/eCLIP, or bioinformatics is desirable.
• Familiarity with herpesviruses, coronaviruses, or paramyxoviruses is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Investigate RNA biology, molecular virology, and host–virus interactions.
• Perform experiments using RNA biochemistry, eCLIP, RNA‑seq, and related methods.
• Analyze sequencing data and contribute to manuscripts.
