Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD completed within the last five years or within the next 8 months.
• Strong background in Earth system modeling, statistics, and remote sensing.
• Experience with modeling languages (Fortran, Python, NCL, C++).

Responsibilities

• Improve representation of urban evolution in Earth system models.
• Perform global-scale analyses of satellite observations and generate ensembles of temporally varying urban biophysical parameters.
• Incorporate datasets into DOE’s Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM) to run sensitivity experiments.
