National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) invites a Postdoctoral Researcher to advance molecular beam epitaxy of ultra-wide bandgap oxide and nitride materials in Golden, Colorado. The role focuses on synthesis, growth, doping, and characterization for electronic applications using plasma-assisted MBE systems, with potential device impact in RF transistors and detectors.

The appointment is up to 3 years, with annual reviews, and requires recent PhD completion, strong writing and collaboration

Qualifications

• Must be a recent PhD graduate within the last three years.
• Experience operating a plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy tool.
• Background in oxides or nitride materials research and related devices.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize and characterize oxide and nitride materials for electronic applications using MBE.
• Grow, dope, and characterize ultra-wide bandgap semiconductors.
• Maintain deposition equipment and support data analysis software development.
