Job summary

The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope offers a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the lab of Dr. Krupal Patel within the Department of Surgery.

The focus is on immuno-oncology for head and neck cancers, with translational preclinical studies and high fidelity models to identify biomarkers and therapeutic opportunities. You will lead immune phenotyping and tumor microenvironment profiling using multi-omic tools, and aim to translate findings to clinical applications.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD in life or biomedical sciences is required.
• Experience in tumour immunology and/or oncology is preferred.
• Understanding of statistical methods and clinical/translational research procedures.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Develop translational preclinical research studies focused on head and neck cancers.
• Draft original research articles and reviews and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Develop and present abstracts at national and international conferences.
