Job summary

The Hinson Lab at JAX in Farmington, CT seeks an independent PhD-level scientist to join a trans-continental HFSP-funded project. Focus areas include pluripotent stem cell biology, differentiation, advanced imaging, and structural biology, with access to a world-class network of collaborators across continents.

The successful candidate will contribute to studying sarcomere assembly and heart muscle disorders, leveraging stem cell models, proteomics, and bioinformatics in a dynamic team

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, biophysics, biomedical engineering, or related field.
• Experience in pluripotent stem cell biology and differentiation.
• Experience with advanced microscopy, genome editing, and proteomics.
• Publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Excellent writing and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a collaborative, cross‑continental team.
• Experience with R, Python or similar statistics package is helpful.
