Virginia Commonwealth University’s Center for Biomarker Research and Precision Medicine seeks a postdoctoral research fellow to join our team. The role focuses on statistical and bioinformatic analyses of single-nucleus transcriptomic and methylation data related to autism and alcohol use disorder, with opportunities to develop analytical pipelines and publish in leading journals.

The position is initially for two years within the Biomarker Research Center, School of Pharmacy MBU, and offers

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a PhD in psychiatric genetics or a related field, or an combination of education and equivalent professional training.
• Applicants should possess excellent written English skills and a strong publication record demonstrating primary responsibility for drafting manuscripts.
• Expertise in Linux/Unix and in performing statistical and bioinformatic analyses using R or Python is essential.
• Demonstrated experience fostering an environment of respect and civility with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.

Responsabilités

• Perform statistical and bioinformatic analyses of data and publish findings in leading journals.
• Develop and optimize analytical pipelines for transcriptomic and methylation data.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners on multidisciplinary projects.
