Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in single-cell genomics. Under NIH NRSA salary scale, a PhD or MD/PhD holder will work with Ming Hu, MD, PhD, in Genomic Sciences and Systems Biology to study chromatin organization and gene regulation at single-cell resolution.

Responsibilities include independent project design, data analysis, method development, manuscript preparation, and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• PhD or MD/PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or related quantitative discipline.
• Strong statistical and programming skills required.
• Biology/genomics knowledge preferred.
• Experience with AI/ML preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independent project design with data generation, analysis, interpretation and manuscript preparation.
• Develop statistical and computational methods for high-dimensional genomics data.
• Study chromatin spatial organization and architecture at single-cell resolution.
• Integrate multi-omics and functional genomics data to investigate gene regulation and disease mechanisms.
• Collaborate across disciplines, prepare manuscripts, present findings, and contribute to grant-related activities.
