Lilly invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Psychiatry and Neuronal Health group. The role focuses on in vivo pharmacology in rodents to study reward, arousal, and stress-related neural circuits, using fiber photometry, microdialysis, and behavioral models relevant to CNS drug discovery.

The successful candidate will design and execute experiments, perform surgeries, analyze multimodal data, and contribute to manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication. Requires a Ph.D.

Qualifikationen

• Ph.D. in neuroscience or related field completed within the last 1–3 years.
• Hands-on experience with in vivo fiber photometry and signal analysis.
• Expertise in rodent stereotaxic surgery and viral vector delivery.
• Experience with operant/behavioral pharmacology models in rodents.
• Familiarity with microdialysis and downstream quantification methods.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Aufgaben

• Design and perform in vivo experiments in rodent CNS models.
• Carry out survival surgeries: stereotaxic injections and catheterization.
• Record fiber photometry data during behavior and reinstatement tests.
• Measure neurotransmitter efflux with microdialysis and LC-MS/assays.
• Map projections and test causal roles in behaviors.
• Conduct multiplex fluorescence and histology; analyze sleep architecture.
• Collaborate on tissue processing and data integration across modalities.
• Prepare manuscripts and present findings at meetings.
