Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a PhD-level researcher to lead an independent project within the Institute for Mental and Behavioral Health Research. You will conduct experiments, analyze data, and present findings under the guidance of an RI principal investigator or Senior Research Scientist.

The appointment is up to seven years, with opportunities to advance toward clinical scholarship, staff scientist, or independent investigator roles within the research institute.

Qualifications

• PhD required in a relevant scientific field.
• Experience in research from PhD program.
• Ability to design experiments and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Designs experiments, develops protocols, and conducts research under mentor.
• Assists in training and supervision of technical staff performing research techniques.
• Records and analyzes data; develops hypotheses for further investigation.
• Assists with preparation of papers for publication and presents findings at conferences.
• Collaborates with other ongoing research efforts at NCH or OSU.
• Works toward research independence and pursues external funding proposals.
