Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital is seeking a researcher to coordinate activities of laboratory staff and conduct independent research under a principal investigator. The role emphasizes generating data, preparing reports, and contributing to publications and grant proposals in a dynamic research environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with 2 years post-degree experience (or 1 year with a Master’s) and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must use research methods to generate, collect, and analyze data for reports.
• Develop position papers and assist in preparing research grant proposals and publications.
• Effective computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts independent research studies and analyzes data under PI guidance.
• Collects data, performs statistical analysis, and prepares graphs, tables, and photos for PI review.
• Collaborates with researchers, mentors staff, and coordinates lab activities.
• Assists PI with publications and grant proposals; presents at conferences.
• Orders, inventories, maintains equipment, and drafts budget proposals for equipment and supplies.
• Monitors expenditures to keep studies within budget and assists with budget proposals.
