Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York is seeking a PhD-level Computational Scientist to drive translational cancer research at the intersection of statistics and single-cell/spatial omics.

You will develop statistical frameworks to map the tumor immune microenvironment, collaborate with computational biologists, statisticians, and surgeons, and translate insights into clinical impact.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field.
• Proven ability to analyze single-cell and high-plex spatial data and to work with multiplexed imaging or spatial sequencing data.
• Strong programming in Python and/or R with familiarity in Seurat and Giotto.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, scale, and implement novel statistical methods for spatial omics and single-cell data.
• Build pipelines for multiplexed spatial imaging data and paired multi-omics.
• Map tumor immune microenvironment and associate phenotypes with clinical outcomes.
• Provide guidance on study design and power calculations for translational projects.
