Job summary
The Chatterjee Laboratory in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a postdoctoral position in occupational medicine and toxicology. The Chatterjee Laboratory conducts research on gut-liver-brain axis, chronic metabolic diseases and occupational hazards affecting Veterans.
The postdoc will conduct research on microbiomics and proteomics, interpret data, and write reports/manuscripts.
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmacology/Toxicology/Microbiology/Pharmaceutical Sciences/Life Sciences.
- Experience in wet-lab research involving microbiomics and preclinical models.
- Knowledge of OMICS based data analysis and bioinformatics pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on microbiomics and proteomics in patient and preclinical samples.
- Interpret data and write research reports and manuscripts.
- Collaborate across disciplines for multidisciplinary projects and professional development.
- Present findings at scientific conferences and contribute to proposals.
- Support community meetings and events as part of professional growth.
