Description

The Psychiatry Neuroimaging Laboratory at Brigham and Women's Hospital is seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our growing team. The fellow will work under the primary mentorship of Dr. Johanna Seitz-Holland, with additional guidance from Dr. Marek Kubicki. The fellow will be working on several funded projects examining psychosis across the lifespan using neuroimaging, clinical, and blood protein data. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful research while developing a strong foundation in translational psychiatry.

The fellow will also have the opportunity to participate in the Stuart T. Hauser Research Training Program in Biological and Social Psychiatry (T32 position), which provides further structured training and career development support.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with quality control and curation of data collected as part of the psychosis projects.
  • Processing imaging and blood data.
  • Analyzing and modeling complex datasets, including neuroimaging, behavioral, and clinical data.
  • Presenting at national and international meetings and building an active research/publication record.
  • Assisting with grant writing.
  • Supervising research assistants and undergraduate research trainees.
  • Actively participating in the T32 training program.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Clinical Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Background in data processing, statistics, biostatistics, or data modeling.
  • Experience in processing and analysis of neuroimaging data is desired but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Demonstrated first-author publication record or pre-print experience.
  • Most importantly, a genuine interest in psychiatry, motivation to work in a team, and excitement for research.
