Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate to advance Quantum & Battlefield Information Dominance (Q-BID) research within the Quantum Computing Cluster. The role spans quantum materials, nanoscale devices, and quantum sensing, with responsibilities in fabrication, characterization, simulation, and data analytics.

You will collaborate across research clusters, publish findings, contribute to reports and proposals, and mentor Ph.D. and undergraduate researchers.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Nanoengineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Physics, Quantum Information Science, Applied Science, or closely related discipline.
• U.S. citizenship at the time of appointment per Accelerate- DAQ eligibility requirements.
• Evidence of scholarly publications, independent research ability, interdisciplinary collaboration, and effective oral/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Support DoW Accelerate- DAQ Quantum & Battlefield Information Dominance (Q-BID) research across quantum materials, devices, sensing, and edge hardware.
• Publish in peer-reviewed venues and contribute to technical reports, IP, and federal proposals.
• Mentor Ph.D. and undergraduate Research Champions and participate in workshops and capacity-building activities.
