Job summary

Rutgers University is seeking a highly self-motivated postdoc to join the Tom Lin laboratory for post-translational modification (PTM) research. You will have full access to the proteomics instruments and spacious labs, with strong support to publish, apply for grants, attend conferences, and collaborate.

A Ph.D. is required and knowledge of proteomics, protein purification, enzyme assays, and cell culture is preferred but not required; experience with E. coli purification is a plus.

Job description

Rutgers is seeking a highly self-motivated and collaborative postdoc to join the Tom Lin laboratory for post-translational modification (PTM) research.

Opportunities: the successful candidate will have full access to the lab's proteomics instrument (Thermo Astral) and Facility instruments (TimsTOF, Thermo Eclipse, et al), and spacious cell culture and biochemistry labs. This job comes with strong support and ample opportunities to publish papers, apply for independent grants, attend conferences, and initiate collaborations. The postdoc is highly encouraged to develop their own IDP (individual development plan) for preparation and development for their future career.

A Ph.D. or Doctorate degree in a relevant research field is required. Knowledge of proteomics, protein purification, enzyme assays, and cell culture is preferred but not required.

Demonstrate a solid training background in Proteomics and Cell assays. Candidates with mostly Synthetic/Medicinal Chemistry training are discouraged from applying. Experience in protein purification from E. coli will be considered favorably, but not significantly.
