Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh laboratory led by Dr. Omar Gharbawie invites applications for a fully funded postdoctoral fellow position.

The successful candidate will investigate brain circuits underlying sensorimotor control and cognition using awake/behaving monkeys, with opportunities to explore resting state networks. Applicants should have a PhD by start date and excellent communication skills; experience with electrophysiology, optical imaging, fMRI, or neural data analysis is preferred,

Qualifications

• PhD by start of appointment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with electrophysiology, optical imaging, fMRI, psychophysics, in vivo animal work, or neural data analysis; training available in other areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead research projects using several of the lab's methods.
• Collaborate and work in a team-based environment.
• Shape new directions in the lab and contribute to study design.
