Job summary

SDSU Research Foundation is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to study prenatal drug exposure effects on brain and behavior. You will design and manage research projects, supervise staff and students, and communicate findings to the scientific community. Opportunities exist to advance toward independent research with mentorship and collaboration within the Center.

The role emphasizes statistical analyses, data visualization, and engagement in team activities and scientific dissemination.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in an appropriate field.
0-5 years of relevant experience.
PhD in psychology, neuroscience, or related field.
Knowledge of animal models and husbandry.
Knowledge of prenatal drug exposure models.
Knowledge of behavioral tests for animal models.
Knowledge of lab management.
Knowledge of scheduled substances.
Knowledge of wet lab techniques such as Western blots/ELISA.

Responsibilities

Design, lead and monitor research projects with protocol development and data management.
Supervise staff and students and ensure training compliance.
Communicate findings through reports, conferences, and manuscripts.
Conduct statistical analyses and visualize data.
Attend team meetings, trainings, and conferences.
