Qualifications

• PhD in organic chemistry or closely related field completed within recent years.
• Strong experimental synthesis and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize organic ligands through multistep synthesis.
• Purify compounds by crystallization, chromatography, sublimation or distillation.
• Characterize compounds using NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis, elemental analysis and MS.
• Contribute to experimental planning and evaluate ligand structure effects.
• Present results at team meetings and national conferences.
• Publish research with a goal of at least two publications per fiscal year.
