Job summary

The Optical Oceanography Lab at USF is offering 1-2 Postdoctoral Scholar positions in optical remote sensing from satellite platforms.

You will support federally funded research, advance algorithm development for water quality and benthic properties in optically complex waters, and work with interdisciplinary teams. Positions available immediately for up to three years; salary commensurate with experience. The CMS on the beautiful St. Petersburg campus.

Qualifications

• PhD in optical oceanography, remote sensing, aquatic science, or closely related field is required.
• Willingness to work with interdisciplinary research teams and advance science through independent and collaborative work.

Responsibilities

• Support Federal- and State-funded research projects involving optical remote sensing of aquatic environments.
• Develop algorithms and products for water quality parameters and benthic properties in optically complex waters.
