• Genomic and proteomic analysis of bacteria and host cells; high-dimensional data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Investigate pathogenesis of infections involving Pseudomonas aeruginosa, focusing on intracellular life and bacterial adaptations for survival.
• Study the role of sensory nerves in defending the eye against bacterial adhesion.
• Perform in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo experiments; analyze large data sets; conduct statistical analysis.
• Prepare grant progress reports; contribute to protocol submissions and laboratory maintenance.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent degree, or enrollment in a Ph.D. program
