The Qiu Lab at The University of Arizona in the Greater Phoenix Area seeks a motivated postdoctoral researcher to study neural circuit mechanisms underlying behavior, including chronic pain and neuromodulation therapies. Hands-on experiments in immunohistochemistry, confocal imaging, electrophysiology, and mouse tissue processing will be conducted.

Candidates will design and execute independent projects, analyze data, and contribute to manuscripts and grant writing.

Formación

• PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Sciences, Medicine, Psychology or closely related field.
• Experience in electrophysiology, imaging, immunohistochemistry, neuroanatomy, or molecular biology.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct immunohistochemistry to assess brain changes in mouse models.
• Perform whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology in brain slices.
• Execute molecular and cellular assays relevant to neuroinflammation and neural plasticity.
• Design, develop, and implement complex research projects independently.
• Analyze and interpret scientific data with independent judgment.
• Collaborate within the department and across university units.
• Present research findings at lab meetings and conferences.
• Contribute to manuscript preparation and grant writing.
• Assist with supervision of lab staff and daily lab operations.
