Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the Demontis lab in the Department of Developmental Neurobiology. The fellow will study conserved muscle aging and proteostasis mechanisms using mice and Drosophila, with a focus on myokine signaling affecting CNS aging and disease.

The candidate should have a Ph.D. and expertise in molecular, biochemical and cell biology techniques.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in molecular biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, or a related field.
• Experience with molecular, biochemical and cell biology techniques.
• Training in Drosophila neurobiology and tauopathy is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and collaboratively on aging and neurobiology research.
• Utilize mouse and Drosophila models to study proteostasis and myokine signaling.
• Contribute to publications and grant activities; participate in collaborative projects.
