The University of York invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the group of Dr Ioannis Kourtzelis. The project investigates macrophage-mediated regulation of innate immune responses in the Sustained Viral Resilience programme funded by ARIA, with a focus on animal studies.

You will lead experiments, collaborate with partners across York and other universities, and contribute to high-quality publications and future funding proposals.

Qualifications

• PhD in biomedical sciences with an immunology focus.
• Experience with mouse models and cellular immunology techniques (flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy).
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration; contribute to publications and securing future funding.

Responsabilités

• Lead the project in relation to animal studies within an ARIA-funded consortium.
• Interact with partner groups across York, Cambridge, Birmingham, UCL, King's College London and QMUL.
• Publish research findings and assist in securing future funding.
