The successful candidate will engineer a non-model but genetically amendable bacterium for aerobic conversion of C1 substrates to fuels and chemicals. Applicants must have recently earned a PhD and show strong experience in bacterial metabolism, genetics, and development

Qualifications

• Must have recently earned a PhD within the last three years.
• Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date.
• Strong understanding of bacterial metabolism and genetics.
• Experience in metabolic engineering and synthetic biology including designing synthetic operons, constructing plasmids, and genome editing.
• Experience using metabolic models and analyzing omics datasets.
