Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Guo Laboratory. Our multidisciplinary team uses hiPSC models, 3D tissue engineering, and NAMs to explore neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases.

You will lead differentiation to neural/vascular lineages, apply CRISPR/shRNA/ASO tools, perform multimodal analyses, and contribute to high-impact manuscripts while mentoring students in a collaborative, state-of-the-art setting.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in Neurobiology, Stem Cell Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated track record of scientific productivity, evidenced by first- or senior-author publications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the directed differentiation of hiPSCs into neural and vascular lineages to construct complex 3D assembloids and organ-on-a-chip platforms.
• Deploy CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, shRNA/ASO tools, and pharmacological screens to interrogate pathological cellular axes.
• Perform multimodal analytics including electrophysiology, advanced imaging, and scRNA-seq.
• Independently manage milestones, draft manuscripts, present at conferences, and mentor students.
